Slow Chip

There’s been a lot of chatter about Quick Chip for EMV and how it streamlines the overall transaction process. This results in the transaction time being cut from 15 seconds to just 2 seconds or less. It’s available with all major credit card schemes and it’s having a positive impact on EMV migration.

Here at Payworks, we know how important EMV is for the Point of Sale and Quick Chip is an added bonus which is why we’re Quick Chip certified. We know that there’s been hesitation in the U.S. to make the switch to EMV due to the longer transaction speed times, and with Quick Chip this helps to solve that problem. Making checkout a better experience for both the merchant and the consumer.

But what about times when you want to slow down the checkout process? Longer lunch breaks, dates, how can we make the checkout process longer to enjoy these moments more? Slow Chip! We created Slow Chip with this in mind. Slow Chip — For life’s moments which need more time. For more details, watch our video below.

In the spirit of April Fool’s Day, we hope you enjoy Slow Chip. And for more information on how Payworks can help you with EMV Quick Chip — visit
