In July 2019, Payworks became part of CyberSource, a Visa solution, to create a fully integrated payment acceptance solution for merchants and acquirers.
Payworks develops and operates a next generation point-of-sale (POS) payment gateway technology. Operated in the cloud and provided as a software as a service (SaaS) to payment providers, Payworks’ technology simplifies card acceptance by offering a pre-certified and easily accessible gateway solution, which is significantly facilitating innovation in the integrated POS space.
Through Payworks, leading acquirers, payment service providers, and POS software solutions can adapt to the rapidly changing payments industry. POS developers can quickly integrate omnichannel capabilities, allowing them to provide modern systems for their merchant customers with advanced capabilities—including central reporting, easy-to-use APIs and integration of new payment methods. Users can also take advantage of additional services such as terminal fulfillment and implementation support.
The integration of the CyberSource and Payworks solutions brings the best of online and POS payment management together on one platform. The combined capability will provide acquirers and payment service providers with a modern, white-labelled omnichannel payment management platform—and ultimately enable a unified payment experience. Payworks is headquartered in Germany with offices in the US, the UK and Poland. Leading acquirers, payment service providers and POS software providers across North America, the UK, Europe and Africa depend on Payworks technology to power card acceptance for modern point-of-sale solutions.
