What you will do...

You will be the servant leader of our on-call team that includes experienced personnel with different levels in business and technical understanding (L1 and L2 on-call). In addition, you will drive the incident management mindset as a company wide discipline to ensure that Payworks learns from mistakes and failures.

As part of this, you will:

  • Work with our on-call & support teams on shift management, post-mortem retrospectives, and RCA generations

  • Provide our clients with detailed SLA reports according to our contractual obligations

  • Own the continuous learning & automation cycle for incidents by working with different teams to derive & implement best practises and action items

  • Run disaster-recovery exercises and trainings for the company

  • Continuously work on our monitoring concept to ensure that our on-call personnel have the best tools for fast recovery

  • Develop concepts to make on-call duty a well defined discipline at Payworks which is as automated and little intrusive as possible

  • Ability to create best practises and action items and drive their implementation

  • Eagerness to learn about best practises for incident management & continuous automation

  • An empathic mindset to incorporate the personal needs of our team members into the on-call duty

  • Not mandatory, but certainly a plus: fundamental technical knowledge in incident management tools (Grafana, OpsGenie, Graylog)
